Water molecules are connected by hydrogen bonds. The classic structure is a hexagon, with six water molecules linked together. These six water crystals can combine with hundreds or even thousands of molecules. When they freeze, they become snowflakes. I’ve tried dozens of different water purification techniques. From multi-stage filtration using expensive Japanese equipment to a two-stage freezing technique (throwing out the crust of ice containing “heavy water” and then freezing the remaining water for later use).
